RECONSTRUCTING MASCULINITY through BLACK STORIES and women’s fashion.
Daiquan Robinson’s work is a dialogue between heritage and tailoring; reinterpreting classic men’s and womenswear codes through cultural narratives. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, his work often explores his identity as a Black American with Jamaican roots, referencing contemporary art, fine art, literature, and cinema. Daiquan’s curiosity manifests in his passion for deep research; the discoveries made during the early stages of the design process form a strong, research-driven base for each collection.
His education began at the High School of Fashion Industries and continued at Parsons School of Design, where he has developed his skills in garment construction, technical design, and Adobe Creative Suite. Beyond the classroom, he has built industry experience with four years as a Production Assistant and four years as a visual merchandiser for a Banana Republic Factory Store.
